BLOOM, a collaborative project between JC. Architecture & Design and Kobe Leather is a furniture that challenges the traditional future design.

Inspired by the traditional ‘pineapple’ lanterns, BLOOM holds an architectural honeycombed structure that is both firm and soft to support our comfort, and flexible enough to be folded for storage and transport.

Staying true to sustainability, BLOOM offers an alternative use for the annually discarded cowhide of 5000 cattle. Having a collapsible design, BLOOM saves up to 80% of packaging space compared to items of similar sizes, helping to reduce transportation emissions to 20kg of CO2 per chair shipment.

Customers are welcome to choose their preferred leather color and finish for the timber legs.
