Unlike traditional designs, this library's open-plan layout promotes flowing knowledge exchange and reflects the core theme of "interaction" among many elements within the space—humans, books, media, architecture, and the environment. The outside of the building emphasizes the library's central component, the books. The delicate curve and soft textures depict the movement of taking a book from the shelf and flipping over its pages.

In 2008, the building won first place in the design competition held by the National Taipei University Library. It has been completed and open to the public since 2013.

這座圖書館的設計，不是傳統的書架堆疊，而是一個開放式的場域，讓知識得以自由流動，讓閱讀不只是個人的沉浸，而是一種交流的契機。「互動」是這裡的核心精神——人、書籍、媒體、建築與環境之間相互連結，讓學習變得更有溫度，也更具可能性。

建築外觀則回應了圖書館最核心的元素——書籍。細緻的弧線與柔和的紋理，宛如翻閱書頁時的流暢動作，讓空間本身也成為一場閱讀的體驗。這座圖書館在 2008 年國立臺北大學圖書館設計競圖中榮獲首獎，並於 2013 年正式落成對外開放，成為一座不只是存放書籍，而是啟發思考與交流的場所。
