URBN Hotel in Shanghai is an eco-friendly boutique hotel, which practices sustainability through its design—uses recycled and locally sourced materials to convert a factory warehouse, and in its operations—the first carbon-neutral hotel in China. We wanted to create a strong connection between the space and the people by lifting a mirrored sphere that reflects the world around us.

By extending the concept of sustainability as the core of URBN Hotel, we focused on the impact of human emotion and sensibility to sustain the environment. It is no longer just a division, instead, it is a public artwork that aims to bend solidity and reframe how we experience the world.

上海的 URBN Hotel 是一間環保精品酒店，從設計到營運，都實踐著永續的理念——以回收材料、本地採購的元素，將一座舊工廠倉庫轉化為富有生命力的空間，並成為中國首間碳中和酒店。我們希望透過一顆懸浮的鏡面球體，映照周圍的世界，讓建築與環境、空間與人產生更緊密的對話。

在延續 URBN Hotel 以永續為核心的精神時，我們更進一步探索人類情感與感知如何影響我們對環境的理解。這不僅僅是空間的劃分，而是一件公共藝術作品——試圖打破固有的形態，挑戰我們對世界的認知，讓每一次停留都成為重新感受世界的契機。
